Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 4 May 2026.

1. About us

These terms apply to work carried out by Diesel Automotive at Unit 3 & 7 Imex Industrial Estate, Union Road, Oldbury B69 3EX.

2. Quotes

Quotes are valid for 30 days and based on the information you give us. Final prices may change if, when work begins, we discover additional faults or required parts that weren't visible during diagnosis. We will stop and contact you for written approval before incurring any additional cost.

3. Deposits and parts orders

For specialist parts (engines, turbos, dual-mass flywheels, cylinder heads), we may require a deposit before ordering. Deposits become non-refundable once parts have been ordered with the supplier.

4. Work authorisation

We don't begin chargeable work without your written authorisation (email, WhatsApp, signed quote). If we identify a safety issue during inspection, we will tell you about it but will not carry out repairs without your consent.

5. Warranty

General mechanical work is covered by a 12-month parts warranty from the date of invoice. Engine reconditioning is covered by a 6-month parts and labour warranty. Warranty does not cover wear-and-tear, misuse, accident damage, modification by third parties, or consequential loss.

To make a warranty claim, contact us within the warranty period. We may need to inspect the vehicle and the affected part. Where parts are sourced from a manufacturer with their own warranty, we will pass the claim through to that manufacturer.

6. Payment

Payment is due on collection. We accept card, bank transfer and cash. Vehicles will not be released until payment has cleared. Late payment may attract interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where applicable.

7. Vehicles left on premises

Vehicles left on our premises after the agreed completion date may incur storage charges. We accept no liability for theft of personal items left in vehicles. If a vehicle is abandoned, we will follow the appropriate legal procedure to recover unpaid charges.

8. MOTs

Diesel Automotive is not a DVSA MOT testing station. MOTs are arranged through a trusted local DVSA-licensed partner. The MOT certificate is issued by that station and recorded on the official DVSA database. Any disputes about the test itself must be raised through the DVSA's appeals process.

9. Emissions systems

We do not remove DPFs, delete EGRs or delete AdBlue systems. All such modifications are illegal in the UK and we will not carry them out under any circumstances.

10. Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of the work we have carried out. We do not accept liability for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
