Drop off (or we collect)

To the partner station

We drive it to our partner DVSA-licensed MOT testing station.

The car is tested and the result entered on the DVSA database.

Back to our workshop

We bring it back to our workshop the same day.

If anything's failed, we can usually fix it the same week.

How much is it?

£50 — all in. That includes the test fee, our handling, and the partner garage's slot.

No. Diesel Automotive is not a DVSA MOT testing station — we're a specialist diesel workshop. MOT tests require licensed test bays and licensed testers, which is a different operation. Our partner station is properly licensed.

Convenience and continuity. You only deal with us. If the MOT throws up a fault, we already have the car and can fix it without you re-booking elsewhere.

You'll get the formal failure notice from the partner station. We explain what's needed and what it'll cost. Many failures are minor — bulbs, wipers, suspension components — and we keep common parts in stock. We can usually retest the same week.

Local. We don't disclose the partner publicly because we want our customers booking through us so we can manage the process and stand behind the combined work.

Yes. It's issued by the DVSA-licensed partner station, recorded on the official DVSA database, and identical to any other MOT certificate. You can check it at gov.uk/check-mot-history.

Yes — we have a key drop facility for early bookings. Tell us when you book and we'll arrange it.
